Central Island Studio Spring Tour 2017

< I will be participating in the Central Island Artisans Spring studio tour on May 5-7th. I am lucky enough to be sharing Cheryl Jacobs Jewelry studio in downtown Cumberland.

57 Studios, representing more than 80 local visual artists in every genre - from realist landscapes to fibre impressionism to scratchboard to abstract mixed media, photography, pyrography, wood work, furniture, glass and clay.

Start with your local studios on Friday evening from 4-9pm, then take a roadtrip on Saturday and Sunday between 10-5.

It's a wonderful opportunity to introduce budding artists to new ideas, or to share the discovery of a new favourite with a best friend. Take an early Mother's Day land-cruise, or bring guests from away on a beauty-seeking adventure!

And, of course, it's a stellar way to support local artists by buying directly from them. Most studios have terrific deals on original work, prints, art cards, small wares and more. And lots of our artists offer classes throughout the year, as well as weekend workshops and other opportunities to work on your own creativity.

Central Island Arts Guides will start to hit the streets April 1.
