Feb workshops
I have decided to hold another of these workshops because of the waiting list and interest. Please pass this email onto anyone who you think would be interested. Thanks!

"Introduction to Acrylics" Feb 11th and 12th

In this workshop I will cover the many products available, properties(eg drying time etc), mediums, color mixing, and beginner techniques to get you started, many of which I have learned over my 20 years of exploring this medium. My goal is to have you acquire a feel for this paint and to leave the workshop armed with the ability to go home and be able to play with your acrylics and/or participate in other acrylic workshops with confidence.

Acrylic painting workshop on Feb 18th and 19th for those who have taken this introduction, or have some experience in acrylic painting. In this workshop I will demo different techniques and you will be painting from your own chosen reference photo(s). I will be guiding you throughout your process with suggestions for problem solving etc. A perfect workshop to bring that idea you have been hesitant to tackle!!

fixing things...
I guess the problem with having your paintings hanging in front of you on a regular basis, is the urge to rework. Sometimes it can be a disaster and you should have left well enough alone, but this time it was a good decision. My painting "Sawmill Bay, Read Island", has been bothering me for sometime now. I grabbed it off the wall and took it into my working room and painted in a dramatic sky. Voila! Now I am happy and will leave it alone.(I think)

I uploaded the new image onto my site totally replacing the old. What do you think?

Feb workshop
I will be holding a workshop on Feb 18th and 19th, but have not decided what it will be yet. It will most definitely be in acrylics though. The creative thoughts are flowing, but I am waiting for the AHA! before I label the class.....Stay tuned!

I have also had a few people who would like me to host another "Introduction to Acrylics",(the class filled within 2 weeks of posting) so I may have an extra workshop going in February. I have three people who are on a wait list so far.(6 max in a class) If anyone else is interested, let me know.
