February 10 2012
I have a bad case of exasperation due to saturation.....I have really enjoyed teaching the three workshops I have offered so far, and have received "high marks"from everyone involved for my efforts. The problem is that there are so many workshops being offered in the area. We have a case of saturation. This is good for those who are looking to take workshops, but not so great for those of us who teach.

So what can I do to remedy the problem? Offer something the others do not. The one main difference I offer is small class size. This way each person receives the individual attention they need.

So, heres my idea:
"Mini" workshops. One day classes based on my "100 paintings in 100 days" concept. We will work small, and hopefully everyone will be able to finish a painting in the 5 hours that they are there. Call it a challenge to those involved. The class will cost $50,(very affordable) and will run from 10-3 and will be at my studio in Qualicum Bay. I will be offering 2 of these in March, on the 10th and the 24th. Each class will be a different subject.

As for my own painting, I have a bit of a case of the february blues. So I am best not to say too much about anything right now! This too shall pass.:)
